Muyiwa Abiodun is a seasoned mechanical and electrical project manager with experience working on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Between 2008 and 2015, while running several start-up companies that he went on to sell (Zories Solutions, Tranzit), he served as a senior utility infrastructure manager developing projects ranging from an 18MW IPP to an eight million litre per day production capacity industrial water works.

Until Oct 2019, Muyiwa led a team of highly specialized experts to provide power sector related advice to the Vice President of Nigeria. In his capacity as Senior Special Assistant to the Nigerian President on Power he led his team to ensure that information and data regarding the power sector is clear, and accurate, leading to the development of a power sector dashboard which has become a central source of data for about 500 power sector stakeholders and participants.

To stem poor collections in Nigeria as well as improve available generation, Muyiwa supported the drive for meter regulation resulting in the Meter Asset Provider 2018 Regulation. He also worked in conjunction with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company on the Power Cities Programme aimed at uptake of 2,000MW across nine cities in Nigeria, which would push generation to more than 7,100MW.
